Hey everyone. Everyone has a tumblr now, but I feel like I’ve put too much work into this piece of shit to convert, so I’m just going to post pictures and words on this still yay.

I’m going to Lismore then Brisbane as of tonight to record the Shortlife side of our split 7″ with Infected. Should be fun times. Also get to see Dangers and Graf twice before they hit Maslen’s on Tuesday. Psyyyyyched.

THere werew four friends maslen that is my droog maslen with duncan and his pizza and matt and his pizza and ben and . and then we were bored so we went to the shops and also to the pool we bought a pool pants to wear. maslen’s were the nicest we voted and he won i came second.

About twenty to fifty minutes later it started to rain so we ran back to my old house at wallangarra to play playstation ONE. and it was bad. then we drove a motorbike and we had to share one and played with priest dave the pedophile cricket man i hit the ball.

Duncan missed catching me out his hands are retards.

Matt and McDonald and I were out the back beating up some people i had a bucket hat on to stop my hair getting hot. matt wore mine when his was hot but his hair wasn’t hot that often. we met up with a horse each and rode north through to stanthorpe, and then onto the mysterious temple of khorne.

matt was the most scared and duncan was the least so he stood at the front then me and maslen were equally scared so we walked side by side here is a diagram

Hey everyone. Saturday night Nial had a party.

During this party two people I associate with became intoxicated, and found themselves in control of a motor vehicle. Foolish and dangerous as this was, as I attempted to scold them one retorted with (in)arguable logic: “If I’m going the speed limit, it shouldn’t matter if I’m drunk” and “it’s their fault for being in the way”. Unfortunately this argument has occurred more than once, with the same response.

Hearing this made me absolutely furious, almost to the point where I was tempted to kick him out of our car (being driven, this time, by a sobre person) and let him be savaged by the night. Every day I seem to come across more and more stupidity, and lo and behold it comes from people my own age, who I have the unfortunate curse of growing old and establishing a world for those to follow us with. Homophobes. Sexists. Racists. Murderers. Rapists. There’s a famous movie featuring Robert De Niro called “Taxi Driver”, and included is a quote that goes something like ‘one day a real rain will come and wash all the trash off the streets’ (sorry if this is wrong, I have no time to research the line for accuracy). At the moment I think if this rain were to come today, there wouldn’t be too many people walking around. Yes, drink drive. Yes, fight anyone. Yes, discriminate. Fuck you and fuck this world.

I wish I was born 40 years ago. People before us have fought for so much. Democracy. Free thought, speech and media (despite the obvious bias the media have for a good headline over the truth). Gay and civil rights. The right to vote for our own leaders for fuck sake, and all I can see is it coming to shit for nothing but uninformed fuckheads. Growing up past 20 is the worst option I can think of right now.

Nial Roder turned 16 on Tuesday. I swear he was 16 like, 4 years ago. Matt McDonald was telling us about some woman who had visions of a monster that was tall, lanky, was covered in body hair and had a massive creepy smile, and it just sounded like Mel Roder having to look at Nial everyday. Monsters are pretty fucked, like, there has to monsters around. And aliens. My greatest fear, apart from being kidnapped is monsters on the bottoms of any body of water, aka Loch Ness Monster, Megalodons, crazy ass fish with massive teeth, Lapras, etc. At certain zones beneath the water there are crazier and crazier animals that mankind has never seen.

I’m meant to be going to Lismore sometime today but I don’t know when/where to go and noone from Lismore is online hahaha. FML. Kneller is still asleep in my room. I turned my iPod on shuffle at 2 in the morning when we got home and it had gone through 193 songs when I woke up. Time is so weird. I was watching a show that basically said we can time travel, the only thing holding us back is OUR INABILITY TO COMPREHEND A FOURTH DIMENSION (Time). So yeah, it’s all our restrictive brains fault. I can’t find my bass guitar fml.

Despite my enthusiasm to travel to America in July for the Sound and Fury festival, I have officially, foot down, arms crossed, final decision decided not to go, due to unforseen plans. I guess I’ll have to wait until I can experience the American life: booze and bitches. P.S AUGUST WILL BE THE BEST MONTH EVER. OF ALL TIME.

Last night Matt, Richard and I hung with Maslen in The Squire’s Lounge of Gentlemanly Activities (aka his massive room).

Drugs were involved.

Second line up for Sound and Fury got announced, with DAYLIGHT amongst other bands announced. Just got so much more keen, a lot of the other bands are sick as well (Bane, Rotting Out, Rival Mob, Mother of Mercy are what I can remember atm hahaha), but I’m just psyched to go away by myself for a bit. I’m cutting the trip short to just a week, maybe a couple of days more due to money and time restraints. Infected might have some majorly big news to announce soon, which is good, the band is fiyahhhh.

Last night in a trance my friends and I discussed how we think the world would react if it was actually confirmed that on the New Year’s Eve for 2012 the world would end, like on the stroke of midnight. We came to the conclusion that everyone would just give up; stock markets would crash as there would be little point investing, which would destroy the global economy as a whole. Law enforcement would be corroded as people commit more and more daring acts, as life only continues for the next 1.5 years. There were other points but I forgot them all. I’m pretty tired. Title Fight rule.

Here is a theory on reincarnation:

Jesse Barber: lets say according to reincarnation..you die and become something else……the something else you become depends on how good you were in your past life…So…what is the worst organisim to be reincarnated as??? Is it possible to be reincarnated as a single cell??? If so then somebody who done REAL bad in one life cou…ld be reincarnated as an expelled egg in a period yeah???

Ben Drew: i would say that the worst thing would be an abiotic organism that has no actual lifeline, eg a rock. in this way, you would be stuck in this low form for a longer period of time than if you were to be a biotic organism with a definite lifeline, especially one as finite as a single cell organism. this period of time could be seen as punishment for the evil deeds committed in the previous life.

That was when the Dark Elves made their appearance, running form the dark copse of tall trees to hack at the Tilean mercenaries with massive, barbed blades. The darkness continued to swirl around them, as if it was reluctant to relinquish them from its touch. Already the butchery had begun, as the cursed began ripping the skin from the bodies of the mercenary captain’s men. His eyes were wide as a tall, elegant figure closed on him, and he raised his pistol in a shaking hand. The Dark Elf tutted, shaking his head with a regretful sigh. The dark figure raised its arm and a small black bolt punched through Alessandro’s bicep, forcing him to drop his pistol. Tall and pale, his grace and noble bearing belied the madness in his black eyes, eyes that held the promise of pain. He wore a bloody skin over his shoulder as a cloak, and Allesandro started when he recognised a tattoo on the skin as belonging to his employer.
The Dark Elf closed on the Tilean captain, drawing a large, viciously barbed knife from its scabbard.
“Don’t worry. Your skin will soon be joining that of your benefactor,” said Mengil, waving the knife menacingly. Alessandro fumbled at his belt, pulling out a bulging coin pouch, and offered it up to his killer. The Dark Elf merely chuckled.

I found some old White Dwarf magazines today, and have been revisiting the worlds of not only Warhammer, but Warhammer 40k and LOTR Warhammer. So engrossing. Everyone who did not read them and get the scope of imagination in these things, I pity you poor souls. Mengil’s Manflayers were some of the scariest “toys” (please, fans, don’t kill me) I have ever seen.

Kneller, Rayne and I went to Nimbin Mardi Grass on the Sunday that has just been. Had an overall fun time. Caught the free shuttle bus from Jizzmore, walked there from High Street (oh mylanta) and after I bought a pair of shorts and a stripy beanie from the op shop walked to the festival. Ate some really really good Hare Krishna food, drank some weird tasting ginger beer, watched the festival where amongst this:

The ‘Ganja Fairies’, I saw a naked old woman, withered as fuck, smoking a massive joint. I bought a disposable camera and got shots of the festival, but then I left it in a portaloo and when I went back someone had taken it. Sucks2beme. Overall the day was really fun and communal, hearing all the people speak about something that they felt strongly about (medical marijuana being made legal, hemp manufacturing replacing oil refinery and protesting the new NSW law that bongs, hookahs and flavoured papers will be made illegal) was pretty stirring, especially with so many people voicing their support. Some guy started berating the police in his speech, which pissed them off, but it was pretty cool watching hundreds of people just stare at the police and applaud this guy. Probably got Rodney King-ed out the back.

New Parkway Drive album got announced recently, and as much as ‘hardcore purists’ will say that they brought a lot of douches into hardcore, most of whom can be evidenced on the Michael Crafter facebook page and are referred to as ‘sweaters’, they have not once put out a disappointing release, and any band, let alone an Australian band that started with virtually nothing to grow into what they have is pretty awesome.
